Peterson
Engineering, Inc. serves the legal and insurance industries by providing
quality forensic engineering services in the areas of:
- Failure Analyses
- Product and Safety Evaluations
- Crash Analyses and Accident Reconstructions
- Mathematical Modeling and Computer Simulations
- Slip/Trip/Miss and Fall Accidents
- Professional Reports
- Expert Witness Testimonies
We are often asked to determine what happened and who was or was not
at fault. To find probable answers, we inspect and evaluate known
items of evidence. We apply our engineering experience and perform
relevant analyses in order to render professional opinions, which
we state to a reasonable degree of engineering certainty.
We evaluate the engineering sciences aspects of incidents and artifacts
that may become subjects of litigation. We help clients evaluate the
merits of their case. We also help identify and develop relevant issues.
Much of our work relates to civil litigation cases. We have also given
expert witness testimonies in several criminal cases.
Eyewitness testimonies are often incomplete, inaccurate in certain
details, and sometimes contradictory. We can help fill missing gaps
and resolve conflicts in eyewitness accounts.
Our professional opinions are based on engineering sciences evaluations
that are minimally dependent on the eyewitness accounts. We adhere
to the codes of ethics of the National Society of Professional Engineers
(NSPE), the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE), and the
American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
We recognize the standards of practice published by the E30 Committee on
Forensic Sciences and E58 Committee on Forensic Engineering.
